At BookMania, it’s about the books. Helping good books find readers is not just a tagline – it’s what I try to do every day.
I have spent over 20 years promoting books and reading. I have done this through writing articles and reviews, through positions in marketing, publicity and editorial for several publishers, and as a book review editor. I love books and strive to help authors reach their audiences, and their audiences find the right books. I am a member of the National Book Critics Circle, the Loft Literary Center and other august organizations.
Check out what I do on the Services page. Come back often to find out about the latest title I’ve
reviewed, or the authors I’m working with, or the
class I’m teaching. You can still check out my old column on Examiner.com, where focused on the
Twin Cities Book Life, and published original book reviews, author Q&As and profiles. Check out my newest thing, my very own book blog, BookManiaLife, where I will post reviews, interviews, and host giveaways and all kinds of bookish goodness with a broader scope.
I have published pieces on several blogs and websites, including BookRiot.com, BlogCritics.com, under BookManiac (look for the little bullseye!), the NBCC blog Critical Mass, The Loft Literary Center blog, Writer's Block, A View from the Loft, Reading Minnesota, MNReads and The Lit Witch, among others. Original reviews, essays and author interviews.
Look for my book reporting on City Pages and the Twin Cities Daily Planet:
